Medical Services

Medical and Psychiatric services include medication management, daily on-grounds nursing staff including weekends and holidays, medication administration, diagnosis, medical transportation, coordination with community providers, dental and eye appointments, specialty medical appointments and daily on-site triage and support.  The Medical Department staff, consisting of physicians, pediatric nurse practitioner, registered and licensed practical nurses, dietitian, certified nursing assistant, and transportation liaison, communicate regularly with families and actively engage clients and their families in decisions around medical and psychiatric treatment.  Children and adolescents meet regularly with the Psychiatrist, who works in close conjunction with the Clinical staff.  Assistance with arranging psychiatric and medical services after discharge is provided as a core element of treatment.
